Flying with Pets and Animals in the Cabin on Contour Airlines


Contour Airlines will accept to fly with your cat, dog, or pet for free in the cabin - you MUST notify the airline at least 48 hours before your flight. A maximum of 2 animals are permitted per flight, be sure to contact the airline as early as possible to reserve your pet.

Contour Airlines does not allow pets to be in the checked baggage, so you may only bring your cat or dog into the cabin.

Animals must be at least 8 weeks old and weaned. Muzzled, pregnant, injured or ill animals will not be accepted.

Acceptable Pet Carriers on Contour Airlines


Any animal 15 lbs. or less should be confined in an approved soft-sided carrier subject to inspection and approval by Contour before acceptance and in conformance with 9 CFR or IATA live animal regulations.

Containers must not exceed 21”L x 12”W x 8”H. Passengers are responsible for ensuring that the containers meet all governmental requirements for the safe and humane transportation of the animal being transported.

The animal must be able to stand up and turn around comfortably in its pet carrier. Carriers must be leak proof, ventilated on at least two sides and prevent any part of the animal from protruding outside of the container.

Contour Airlines Prohibited Animals
